"Jane lead way. Tarzan follow always."
In the 1912 book, Tarzan of the Apes, author Edgar Rice Burroughs spins the tale of the young John Clayton who, as an orphaned infant, was raised by apes as Tarzan.
At home in the jungle, his life is turned upside down when he meets and falls in love with Jane Porter, following her from Africa to the U.S. in attempt to be with the woman he loves. Many novels followed, and as the motion picture industry took off, the story of Tarzan and Jane was adapted to the silver screen.
It's a love story that has crossed multiple formats, and is still a favorite of many. What's your favorite?
